Why We Come Here: The Beautiful Complexity of Choosing Love

A cosmic understanding that changed everything

I've been asking myself this question for years: Why do we come here? Why do souls choose to incarnate into this dense, challenging, sometimes painful human experience?

Today, the answer came through with such clarity it took my breath away.

The Soul Side vs. The Earth Side

On the soul side—in that realm of pure consciousness where we originate—there is only love. Pure, unconditional, infinite love. No contrast. No choice needed. We simply are love.

If we stayed there, we'd be like, "What do you mean there's anything but love? What are you talking about—fear? Separation? Pain?"

We wouldn't truly understand what it means to choose love. To redirect when we've lost our way. To recalibrate when we've forgotten who we are.

The Advanced Soul School

Earth is the advanced soul school. We volunteer—yes, volunteer—to:

• Forget who we are

• Experience separation and pain

• Feel the full spectrum of human emotion

• Navigate hate, anger, trauma, and abuse

• Find our way back to love

• Consciously choose it this time

We come here to experience ALL possibilities so we can make conscious choices about who we want to be.

The Cosmic Curriculum

Every time you choose:

• Love over fear

• Sovereignty over codependency

• Truth over illusion

• Forgiveness over resentment

• Connection over separation

You're graduating from soul school.

You're not just healing yourself—you're demonstrating what's possible for all souls.

The Beautiful Paradox

Here's what struck me most profoundly: The simplicity of it does not make it simple.

The concept is beautifully simple: Choose love.

The experience is magnificently complex: Remembering how to choose love when you've forgotten everything about who you are.

Living the Contrast

I see this playing out in my own life as a mother. My daughter gets to witness both 3D consciousness (conditional love, emotional reactivity, blame) and 5D consciousness (unconditional love, emotional sovereignty, responsibility) through her parents.

She needs this contrast to make conscious choices about which frequency she wants to embody. If she only saw the light, she wouldn't have the awareness to consciously choose it.

The Gift of Forgetting

We don't come here broken. We come here whole, choosing to forget our wholeness so we can remember it again—consciously, deliberately, with full awareness of what we're choosing.

Every challenge is an opportunity to choose love. Every trigger is an invitation to choose peace. Every moment of separation is a chance to choose connection.

You Are All of It

Here's the truth that landed in my heart today: I am all of it. We all are all of it.

We are the love and the fear. We are the light and the shadow. We are the forgetting and the remembering. We are the question and the answer.

And in recognizing this, we can hold compassion for every part of the human experience—in ourselves and others.

The Sacred Journey Home

So why do we come here?

We come here to experience the full spectrum of existence so we can consciously choose love—not because it's all we know, but because we've experienced everything else and still choose love.

We come here to forget so we can remember. We come here to lose ourselves so we can find ourselves. We come here to experience separation so we can choose unity.

The journey from unconscious love to conscious love—that's why we're here.

And every single day, in every single moment, we get to choose again.
